There are people who hate puns, but I've never understood that. I generally don't like bad puns that force you to mispronounce a word to make the joke work, and a long, involved pun is better than a short one. In most cases. But not always.
In today's Speed Bump, Dave Coverly makes a short pun that not only involves proper pronunciation but melds a pair of Comedy Hall of Fame-level comic icons -- the boomerang and the pie-in-the-face.
To which I say, "wow."
I hope Dave Coverly did some kind of little victory dance of satisfaction when he came up with this.
