I get this feeling that Hilary Price has never quite grown up, and I think that's a very good thing. With all the celebrities and others who write children's books these days, it's good to know there's someone out there who understands that there's more to being childlike than just making up silly words and situations.
Even when Rhymes with Orange isn't about kids, it's still about that moment between getting it and being able to put it into perspective. And that's a very funny moment.
Here's a podcast of an excellent interview with Hilary at Comics Coast-to-Coast in which she talks about her creative process and life in general, which are, for the most part, one and the same. Comics Coast-to-Coast is always interesting, but this particular show stands out.
